On March 28th at Fincantieri dock in Marghera (Venice) took place the delivery ceremony of the Viking Star cruise ship.
47.800 ton gross tonnage, 465 cabins to host 930 passengers, Viking Star is the flagship of a ten-ship fleet of the norwegian Viking Ocean Cruises. It weighed anchor for its first cruise on the Adriatic sea at the beginning of April with its wellness center and its golf course on the upper deck.
For the delivery ceremony, a check in area of 400 square meter was set up on the dock, with wooden walls painted in white, black and grey, embellished with vinyl and 3D writings, pictures of the ship during the construction, wooden floor with grey carpet, more than 100 plants and metal detectors.
